Ok..  These chronic eye infections are really getting annoying. This week I had an eye infection in both eyes  and have had to miss school because of the pain (feels like I've been punched in both eyes) and the fact that pus is dripping down my eyes...

And another thing is its always random, sometimes its on the top lid of my left eye, bottom lid of my right eye, or both... But there is ALWAYS crust and pus at the root of my eyelashes (I mean always) http://www.ueseyecare.com/images/photos/blepharitis_l.jpg I didn't take this pic but this is exactly what I am talking about... I have a feeling I am going to have to get used to these eye infections

There is something else I am wondering about.. My skin (pretty much all over my face -- esp forehead) has little white ...ugh.. I dont know what to call it, but in these next pics ill circle what im talking about.. Its pretty much all over my face (mostly on forehead and 'beardline', any ideas on what it is???!! It almost looks like pus coming from my pores.. Any opinions (although it is not on my nose and cheeks where I have rosacea as much as on my forehead and further down my face) Some opinions would be greatly appreciated.. Is this some kinda other skin infection/disease?? -- Like the pus/crust at the tips of my eyelashes.. This is here all the time.. (but baaaaaaarely visible unless you go up with a magnifying glass.. | Hi ewist,
It looks like you have a bacterial infection in conjunction with the blepharitis. First off, I would recommend a topical antibiotic drop about 4 times a day and lid scrubs at least twice a day. The lid scrubs are for everyday for good hygiene maintenance. The antibiotic depends on the drop you are taking but usually for 1 week to 10 days. You can use cool compresses for the swelling and comfort but to open up the clogged glands warm compresses before the lid scrubs if you are not in discomfort. I know, it's confusing but the warmth opens up the clogged glands but won't make your redness and swelling better. That's where the cool compresses come in. Your infection should be easy to clear up if you do this. As far as what antibiotic drop you should call your eye doctor. I like vigamox. I don't know what those white spot areas on your skin are though. Maybe seb derm? I am sure someone who knows will answer your post. Good luck and please keep us posted! Best wishes, Melissa |

| Cant really advise on the eyes but with regards the white flakes?? then I agree with Melissa, it could be abit of seb derm. | |

| GAH! Get some antibiotics--oral or drops. Possibly a short steroid course? Dunno.

@mel..... The actual eyes are a little red and bloodshot but that may be because of all the hot compresses and pus. Lid scrubs are such a pain in the ass but I plan to do it from now on. I finally got a dermatologist appointment set up. He may refer me to an optimologist but I feel the skin is the problem I really need to focus on. Ill definately look up on Vigamox. Seb-derm would really suck.. Could it be that I don't have rosacea at all an just seb-derm? When I was on cortizone for a few days all the redness 100% dissapeared.. But obviously came back MUCH worse with tons of veracose veins.. Is that normal for steroids to completely clear up rosacea initially or is t hat more of a seb-derm thing? @Iow..... I don't want to screw up my immune system. Last time I took em was when I got a bad spider bite on my face, so I wanted that cleared up before I went on vacation. Steroids.. Eh I'd rather have no treatment than put steroids on after it worsened my rosacea.. I still havent recovered from those 2-3 days I used em (cortizone). Eyelid scrubs I plan to do but what exactly is EPO supplementation? Well I'm doin a bit better.. Got alot of pus out but its still swollen and annoying -- but at least it doesn't hurt like hell anymore.

| Evening Primose Oil supplements. Great for ocular inflammation.
With the amount of ooze you have coming from your eyes/eyelids, Ocusoft eyelid scrubs should probably be a daily--if not twice daily--part of your regimen. I understand your hesitancy to use antibiotics (finally off them, myself). But they're really good at reducing ocular inflammation. At least for rosacea. I've never had something like your condition, so I don't know what oral antibiotics would do for you. Seriously, though--go see a doc. If you take a course of steroid drops for a week or so, get the inflammation under control, then perhaps use anitbiotics for a couple of months, while at the same time using eyelid scrubs and EPO, you may get that under control. The only reason I bring up steroids is that your inflammation looks pretty acute.
