I found this on a US website for Natural Remedies last year as I've had sinus problems for years. It works BRILLIANTLY--try it when you've got a general cough/cold/flu too.

1 drinking cup of tomato juice
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco (or other hot) sauce
I also add a small piece of crushed ginger.

Mix together, heat and drink.
It really does help sinusitis.
I've used it today and felt better in an hour.

OMGoodness....do you even have rosacea??????????
Shocked

Yes--Dr says I have Rosecea but this has never affected it. Don't know how it works but it does. If you had desperate sinus probs I guess you could miss out the tabasco.

WOW. I have a pressure sensation around my left temple! I have been feeling this for years, but never found it too important to ask the doc about it.

Doesn't it drive you crazy tho???

Not really. I think I got used to it, and I ignore it most of the time. But rosacea does drive me crazy. Smile

Twickle Purple- Glad to hear your still doing well with RLT i did find it helped with pain when i did use it but it actually started to cause flushes for me and unfortunely had to stop using mine.

Lookout,- Do you use a netti pot for your sinuses then?I have recently brought one and have found it so hard to use im definely not doing it right?Did you find it helped?

Hollyberry- Thanks for the suggestion but i know for a fact that would cause me to flush Glad it doesnt effect your rosacea though.

Any other suggestions for sinus or nerve pain i would be grateful.

Thanks Sarah

Hi Sarah,

I'm not sure if you have tried this already but when I get a sinus headache/pressure/pain I pop a sudafed and within a short while it's gone. It has to be the one with pseudoephedrine though, not the new one with phenylephrine. I don't know if they did this in the UK but in the US they made it harder to get pseudoephedrine because some people were buying lots and lots (besides me for my sinus HA's LOL) and making speed with it. So now, we have to get it at the pharmacy behind the counter even though it is still an OTC. And they make you show your driver's license when you buy it and sign a sheet that you are buying it Rolling Eyes Big brother is watching...

Anyway, it really nips my sinus pain in the bud Sarah. If you haven't tried it give it a whirl and see if it helps. Also, a cool compress over the forehead can give you some relief as well. I empathise because I know how horrendous sinus pain can be.

All the best,
Melissa
