| Hi,
I'm really sorry if it's a breach of protocol to refer to another member's private message to me, but I'm a little puzzled and would welcome some advice. I received a private message from a member called lobster222222 saying essentially that I should phone him as he has a rosacea cure. I've looked at his posts, which lobster/John advised me to do, and it all seems to be something to do with visiting the Ukraine and demodex mites. I've read about the demodex mites and rosacea issue, but am not convinced - my major flare-ups seem so much to do with factors like weather and what I put on my skin. My regular less extreme flushing can be triggered by things I eat, stress and the usual factors. And my seb derm comes and goes by itself. So I just can't accept that mites are the main culprit, even if maybe rosacea sufferers are more vulnerable to them than the population at large. Does anyone know anything about this? Going to the Ukraine is not an option for me anyway (!) but I'm interested to know if this is a well-known treatment that many of you have experienced. Lobster/john, I hope you're not offended by my asking the wider community, so to speak, for their advice. But in the shortish time I've been aware of my rosacea, I've also become aware that there are so many supposed "cures" out there - usually very expensive - and I'm afraid that I am by nature a bit of a cautious (some might say cynical) Brit. | There are a whole series of posts on this subject in recent weeks, including some from Lobster, and even some from me!
Check these out and you will get more info. The treatment regime in the Ukraine is very severe, and is aimed at total detruction of the Demodex mites, which many, but not all, rosacea sufferers have. I have no idea why he sent a PM to you, did you, perhaps, show interest in this subject, or ask for help. |

| I'd just posted on the site about how my skin problems had worsened significantly in the last month, triggered by some very windy weather here in northern England!

| Yes it does seem strange, if you had not expressed any interEst in his posts.
Yes the winds up here have been really bad the last few days, almost non stop. I would certainly look at other treatment options. My annual visit to Dr. Crouch for IPL is a big help in controling my rosacea, and I use RLT. |

| I agree. I think Lobster was trying to help. It can be daunting to post that there's a cure that is so radical to a large group of people. It's much easier one on one.

How is everyone doing? I'm pretty sure that lobster is trying to help people. I am a 20 year old student male living in Toronto.... rosacea and seborrheic dermatitis developed at the age of 12. I have had frequent flushing and blushing symptoms for all my life (always completely red in school). After reading spanishmami's post 2 weeks ago I talked with DG and a couple of other people and decided to put my faith in this treatment. I will be heading to Ukraine in the next couple of weeks. I had 4 Vbeam sessions aug-dec 2007 and saw some improvement 30% but no one else noticed it I am still the same red guy. I still wanted to do 2 more sessions before finding out about Dr Syrkomoskyy. so I decided to go to the Ukraine instead of wasting my money here. I worked hard for that money 2 full time jobs during the summer 16 hours a day for 3 months (trust me it was tough) to save some money for the V beams. Still not sure if I am going to start a blog..... Really busy with exams and school next couple of month but I will keep everyone updated post on DG blog or here every week..... For kristina I actually have the same symptoms as you have flushing due to weather and seborrheic dermatitis that comes and goes I also have permanent redness but no flushing due to food. So hopefully in about 5 month I will be done and I will tell you my results. Where did my rosacea come from (my explanation)? I get sick really quickly in winter I can’t even drink cold water my throats start to ache..... So I think that I inherited a "weak immune system" from my parents (both have rosacea). I noticed that when my dad started taking medication for his stomach his rosacea symptoms settled down after a while. I think that my "weak imunne system" prevented my body from protecting itself against mites that might have increased on my face causing my rosacea and seborrheic dermatitis. So killing the mites then strengthening my immune system looks like a cure to me. Sorry for talking a lot... I wish everyone the best... |

KristinB ... you did the right thing as there have been plenty of scammers on here in the past few years. Lobster should lighten up instead of running away. |
