targetting blood vessels responsible for diffuse redness.
Hi
Does this mean that the filters should be 560 or less. I am not sure if over 590 means higher in numerical sense or higher in that the 560 filter or the 516 filter targest the vessels closer to the surface.
IIRC, doesn't the triple pass protocol use filters 590 and 640 and 1100. The triple protocol seems to have had great results.
Thanks for all your help and support

Hi Linda:
The triple pass method doesn't require the same settings each time. I see Soldo and he uses different settings each time I see him and he says this is very important as the patient is different each time you see them so you can' teach somebody to do it the same way each time. It's just not appropriate. He does use certain settings to target shallower, midlevel and deeper vessels tho, that is true. But you may not be able to tolerate certain power settings each and every time. this is where the experience of the operator comes in. They have to know when to go for it and when to back off. So you may not even get 3 passes each time; I haven't. First time I got only one, all I could tolerate. The triple pass method is a guideline to get to all the bloodvessels, deeper and shallower, but must be adjusted according to the patient's needs.

On the triple C website of Dr. Crouch he shows 590nm, 615nm, 695nm, as his preferred filters all with 24 joules per sq cm and triple pulse.
As you say to get vessels at different depth and of different diameter, that power setting is seen as moderate!
I suppose it is possible to vary the power settings to accomodate sensitivity, I have seen some high setting, even over 30, however I guess there is a level where the setting becomes too low to achieve anything useful! |

Hi
But doesn't the quote to which I referred contradict the triple protocol
quotes says that anything over 590 is not targetting the shallow vessels near the surface which are responsible for the diffuse redness in my cheeks. so then the triple protocol utilizes 590, 615 and 695 are over
Thanks for reading and responding
