| If you have Rosacea do you also have an allergy, sensivity, or intolerance to wheat and yeast? |

Yes I did and it worked. It has helped my skin a lot and a host of other problems brought on by wheat and yeast and not even knowing I had an intolerance/allergy until I was 29. I was really suffering and never knew why.
I really try to eat good ( I am not perfect) but my diet is clean, veggies, and gluten free/dairy free/wheat/yeast free snacks. Don't get me wrong I love my chocolate cake and I have a piece from time to time. |

What other problems did you have besides rosacea? I have had scratch testing done, which was negative for foods, but I think I may have a gluten and/or yeast sensitivity or intolerance. My mom is borderline Celiac, and my aunt has gluten sensitivities. I don't have any intestinal issues, though, so I was wondering if you had other symptoms besides intestinal stuff.
Thanks!

Awful fatigue
headaches
bloated
acne
bad breath
joint pain
hair falling out
dark circles under my eyes
cronic cough clearing my throat
sinus problems
All those are gone now when I rid my system of yeast and wheat. I have mild rosacea
You probably are sensitive to the yeast and wheat. It runs in families.

Did you have RAST/blood work done or did you just do the elimination diet? I'm thinking of having it done, but I'd have to go off all antihistamines for 10 days, which would suck!
Thanks!
~J
ETA: My symptoms are mainly chronic post nasal drip/runny nose and itchy skin. I took a Candida quiz and was in the moderate category. I want to stop eating it, but I need to wait until Monday to see if my allergist will do a Celiac test, and you have to be eating gluten in order for the test to be accurate. |

I ate no yeast or wheat, sugar, carbs. I basically ate veggies and meat and no fruits. I did this for thirty days. If you try the diet be warned that you might get what is called "die off". When you are eating healthy and there is nothing to feed the candida they die causing a reaction to your system in any form but not limited to headaches, fatigue, etc. I got a horrendous stomach ache while the die off was happening. After the thirty days I kept up the diet but reintroduced some fruits. To this day I eat in moderation but I rarely eat any wheat or yeast.
I just have a theory but who knows. I believe I was so overloaded with yeast that my liver could not handle the detox and it started coming out of my skin on my face which resulted in the rosacea. Just my theory is all. |

I've had a dripping nose since starting with rosacea. how strange!
I also had chronic urtacaria in my teens/early 20's and the itching would drive me mad so I had to take antihistamines and have needed them ever since. Never been totally convinced with the urtacaria diagnosis. I think there is something else going on with me. |

Very interesting! I am also taking a host of antihistamines for "chronic urticaria", although I don't get hives, just the itching. My allergist said she wanted to treat it as CU, though, and see what happens. I had some basic bloodwork done, as well as ANA testing (to rule out lupus). So far all of my tests have been negative. I also don't think mine is CU, I think there is another connection, allergy related.
My mom has been saying that she thinks I eat to much wheat, so her theory all along has been that my issues are food related. After I go to the allergist next week and see if they can test me for Celiac, I'm going to try a gluten free diet and see what happens.

Did you ever try Candex or ThreeLac? I started taking Candex the other day to see if it helps at all. I am also taking probiotics. I have cut way back on refined sugar and processed foods. I printed off a Candida diet the other day so I am going to try to follow that alont with the Candex. I also found a site that has a restricted 35-day diet that helps you identify sensitivities without giving everything up. I might look into that one too. Supposedly, the Candex can be used without going hard-core on the diet, and doesn't have die-off effects. I guess I'll give it a few months and see what happens.
I'm with you, I have a theory that there is something on the inside causing all of this for me. I was a completely healthy person until about 9 months ago, a few months after having my daughter. All these weird things started happening to my skin and body. The more I looked into it online, the more I think it's somehow related to leaky gut, candida, or a gluten intolerance (or a mix of them all).
I'm going to get serious about the diet after I visit my allergist on Monday. I really want the Celiac test, so I need to eat gluten until I can get that done.
Thanks!

I love Threelac and used it however I messed up big time. I took too much and should have slowed down. It made my rosacea worse. I contacted the people at threelac and they did tell me to cut the dosage but I was afraid the rosacea would never go away so I did not continue. They told me the Rosacea would get worse before getting better. So if you consider Threelac start slow. I was impatient.
You are right on. When i gave birth to my first child that is exactly when the horror started. It was just a small skin issue but would be a sign of something bigger.
I took fiber yes to help me. Fiber Husk Psyllium
Let me know what the allergist says. I knew something was going on....either my PH in my stomach was off, the food allergies caught up with me, or I was lacking some enzyme in order to digest certain foods. |
