I have been taking co q 10 in this form recently and have noticed a huge difference in my energy and mood. Whlie it hasn't made any noticeable difference to my rosacea it has helped me to maintain a much more positive attitude to it. I am hoping it may also help the symptoms with continued use. Co q 10 supports mitochondrial function and there seems to be some evidence for mitochondrial dysfunction/atp production in rosacea).

Hi Caran,
Co Q10 isn't one of those cox/lox inhibitors is it?

Thanks,
Melissa

No, CoQ10 is ubiquinone, the next-to-last electron carrier in the mitochondrial electron transport chain (cytochrome c is the last one). Red light increases cytochrome c activity, so CoQ10 would be an interesting supplement to combine with RLT.

Thanks Steve!
I think I will add that to my RLT regimen.
I just happen to have a bottle that I started and then stopped because I was taking so many supplements last year.

Best wishes,
Melissa

Hi Bonnie,

It is red light therapy and you can read more about it in the low level light section here:
http://forum.rosaceagroup.org/viewforum.php?f=23

Some people have had much success with diminishing their rosacea symptoms by doing red light and/or infrared light therapy.

Lots of good info and reading.

Best wishes,
Melissa
