I'm doing some research in different topicals that have been shown to be effective in the reduction of Rosacea redness for some people. I was going to ask my derm about different options at my next appointment. I know redness is caused by a large number of factors, but if it helped you, please let me know.

I'm mostly interested in seeing what topicals are out there, but I'm open to oral treatments, as well. Basically any treatment that might be effective would be great, save for laser treatments. I don't want to consider something that expensive until I've run through the cheaper options. Smile

It is tough to find a topical that will reduce redness. That seems to be the most difficult part to tackle.

You could look into ZZ Cream or Pyratine 6.

Lasers seem to be the way to go right now to treat redness.

Thanks, cashisclay. Are there any other treatments besides topicals and IPL then that could help with redness/flushing?

Hey Lauren,

Check out the low level light therapy section and see if that is something you would be up to trying. Many people do have much success with it for their flushing and burning and redness.
