A dermatologist gave me samples of atopiclaire to try on my red spots (on each cheek). I told her my skin is often dry. When my skin is not dry, my redness really fades.
Does this make any sense? Should I try it? She acted like it was creamy and had lots of moisture........but I am scared to try it. |

| Dry skin can easily get irritated which can indeed cause redness. The cream your derm gave you isn't a steroid, and is supposed to be soothing for eczema or dermatitis. Just try a test patch if your worried. |

My derm also gave this to me for my redness. It helped at first but then really started to sting and irritate my skin. I think I'm sensitive to tree nut products, though, and it has shae butter in it. I told my derm and she said to stop using it. Definitely just do a test patch, but for me it ended up hurting my skin more. It does help with dryness, though, which stinks b/c it was working for that but still making me red- grrr....!
(The nights I didn't use it I slept fine, the nights I did- like last night- I woke up in the middle of the night with terrible itching and burning.)
I hope it works for you!
