Corinna,
The car is a beauty!
May you have much joy riding in her! (is it a girl and what's her name?)
Moomy,
That sounds so lovely and romantic!
I've never been there but maybe one day...
Best wishes,
Melissa |

We tried naming the Mini but it just doesn't stick. So it's "the mini", "the prius" and "the m35". We're pretty uncreative for creative types. One of our cars is named le'oeufy (french for his color which is egg like LOL) and the other is named roast (after a friend who died).
We (me) love naming our things |

I had a problem with the name Winston for the Mini, too crusty!
(Sorry about your friend. )

I love the name Winston! I used to walk a dog when I was a little girl by the name of Winson. A beautiful bulldog. What a face!!

hehe! Tim thinks of the Mini as just that, a bulldog (his favourite dog, Princess, was a bulldog). He just reminded me of Sponge Bob. We did in fact have one vehicle we called by name it was so perfect for it. It was a 2003 Toyota Tundra and we floated and rolled in that darn thing. _________________ The trick is to keep moving forward –– to let go of the fear and the regret that slows us down and keeps us from enjoying a journey that will be over all too soon. |

For some reason I am surprised that you have a car. I sort of thought new yorkers just used cabs and the underground Perhaps I have watched too many movies. |

You're right and we do use the subway every day (for work) and taxis usually when we go out on the town. We use one of our cars for going to our shore house on the weekends we do go and also for running errands like food shopping and such. Hard to haul around all that stuff without a car. Not to mention Billy and Fred!
Of course, we pay what almost amounts to a second rent/mortgage to park our car in the garage in our building in NY. But we keep one of our cars at our shore house (in Sea Girt) for free (in OUR garage there). Plus, one of Greg's hobbies is woodworking so he hauls all the lumber he gets from the lumbar yard in the car.
But during the week it's the subway (underground) for us. |
