| Hi everyone.
I was just diagnosed yesterday. Hmmm... I too have been just lurking around for a few days trying to get a feel for this forum and I have to say that I am impressed. Everyone is really supportive and informative and I'm glad I've found you. I've been prescribed Finacea and my derm recommended I try Clinique's new line. Thank goodness I was diagnosed early (age 29). I have a consult w/ a Cosmetic Derm next month to discuss the laser light therapy, but I dont know if I will be able to afford it... Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. |

I'm not so sure that you should go for the Clinique's Urgent Relief Cream as it contains hydrocortisone, a med which is best avoided in the long term as it can thin the skin and worsen your symptoms. http://rosacea-support.org/clinique-redness-solutions-user-reviews.html If you have a look at the general section you will see a number of people here because of long term use of hydrocortisone. Hi! I just wanted to welcome you to the board. I was just diagnosed myself and without this board I would be completely lost. Let me know how things progress and how the appointment about the Light therapy goes. I think that will be my next step. Again welcome! |

Thanks for the words of encouragement. Phlika29- I returned the urgent relief cream once I realized there was hydrocortisone in it and I schooled the woman at Clinique that sold it to me! protounitv4- I just have the consultation for the light therapy March 21st, so depending on how much it is.... I will definitely let you how the consult goes. |
