Just curious, I noticed that many products for treatment of rosacea have letter 'Z' in their names, such as ZENMED, XYzal, AZASOL, ZZ cream (two 'Z' there ), zantorin, etc . . . I wonder why? |

This is a good question. There are also a disproportionate number with 'x' in the name.
Since x and z are not much used in everyday words, they have an unfamiliar, alien quality. They are other-worldy. They crop up a good deal in names in works of science fiction.
They hint at something advanced. Something whose potency is not circumscribed by mundane and natural considerations. |
