Hi
I think that I need to accept the fact that IPL is not going to work for me and my diffuse redness ( on cheeks only ). I have noticed that for about 7-10 days after the treatment, my face looks much paler and feels cool and calm. Then the redness comes back. All of my treatments have been with the Vasculight and more recently the Lumenis One. Filters range from 560 to 590. I have had some treatments with double pulse and some with tripe. Joules are at teh highest level with the Vasculight and my last one with the LumenisOne was 20 joules.
Can anyone help me determine why this is happening. Are the filters too deep and just bypassing the superfical vessels which are causing the diffuse redness.
Would Vbeam be a better choice. What depth does the Vbeam reach?
Thanks

I think surface redness is the hardest bit to treat with lasers/IPL.
I would perhaps think about trying out lasers such as the KTP or pulse dye laser (sub purpuric). I seem to remember that you may suffer also from seb derm (or I could be wrong), if you do then the pulse dye laser may help this aswell. |
