I'm so glad you got to see it! I really didn't think the moon was ever visible in New York. Laughing

We just got in and were lucky to catch a bit of it. We went to the beach all ready to hunker down but it was drizzly with a high overcast, so we just walked the dog and headed home. We have a marina by our place that we stop at and eat dinner if we've picked up something quick. It's quaint and situated facing open water and we often catch the moon rise over the masts. (The S.S. Minnow lives there Very Happy )

Anyway just as we rounded the bend the sky cleared a little just around the marina and we caught it. It's always a thrill to see something occur outside of our world! We got a few pics taken through the windshield. Low light makes it fuzzy but you can see the eclipse starting.

That's a lovely picture Corinna.
It looks so pretty and peaceful there.
And what a fantastic shade of blue the sky is!

It was clear last night so we had a great view of it too. I tried to take a picture, but it looked like a little speck. Twickle has a more spectacular backdrop anyway!

Thanks Patty and Melissa. What a treat!

Tim went out to walk Max later and caught the back end of it which was almost completely red with the tiniest sliver of moon shining brightly. I was on the phone with my son and didn't want to brave the cold (I'm a wimp) so I didn't go for another peak.

I saw it from a flight from Nashville to Charlotte, NC. It was amazing to see it flying over the clouds. Beautiful...
