I am very new to this forum and I have posted on other forums so a few of you may recognize me. My question is has any of you had a bad experience with laser? Can laser surgery make rosacea symptoms wose? I was informed that they cannot. I had one v-beam session last june and it did nothing for me, but my skin was extremely sensitive for a good month. I then went to the RTIT and had 7 treatments in 10 days. Yea I know that is crazy, but I was desperate. It has been 3 and a half months since I returned and my face is still not back to what is was before. I am also flushing a lot more and I mean 10-15 times a day. Some people have told me that it may take time to heal but am I beyond that healing period. I keep on praying that I will wake up one morning and be able to see the face I had pre any laser treatments. I am extremely depressed like many others so any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. I just don't know what else to do because I am now gun-shy about trying anything new because I don't want to aggravate things. Justin

Hi Justin,

Welcome to the Forum.
I know how frustrated and upset you must be feeling right now and I just want to say that your skin will heal but you need plenty of time. That was a very harsh treatment in a short amount of time but with gentle care and patience you should be OK.

I would not do any new laser treatments for now and give yourself time.
It wouldn't hurt though to find a good and trustworthy derm for a second opinion as to what step to take next.

There is so much info here. Take your time and read through the archives and ask any questions you have. We are all here to help and support each other.

All the best,
Melissa

BTW You posted in the topical section. I'm not sure if you wanted to post in laser or newbies but I'll move this to the laser section since that is your title of your thread and feel free to post your story in the newbie section also if you would like.

Justin,
What kind of laser did the RTIT utilize that they would recommend 7 treatments in 10 days. Can you give any more info on your experience?
Rob
